Healthy Chocolate Chippies

Anything with Healthy and Chocolate in the name has got to be good for you, right?

These are our favourite biscuits.  I make them regularly, so easy, yummy and healthy to boot!

The recipe comes from the healthy food guide with a few adaptions to make it Emma safe.

100g Olivani
1/2 C brown sugar (can use white but use a bit less - about 1/3 C)
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 C dark choc chips
1/2 C dried fruit - I use whatever we have on hand, apricots, sultanas, cranberries all work well
1/2 C wholemeal flour
1/2 C white flour
1/2 C rolled oats
1 tsp baking powder

Cream Olivani and sugar until thick, light and creamy.  Add Vanilla and mix, then add dried fruit and choc chips and mix well.
Add sifted flours, baking powder and oats and mix until well combined
Roll into balls, put on a greased baking tray and press down with a fork.
Bake at 180C for around 10 minutes.

  1. Hi!
I tried your lemon muffins today - they were yum! They are all gone already...
Is it ok if I put the recipe on my blog? (Will link back to you, of course!)
These choc chippis look really good too!

  2. Hi Jessica
We love those muffins too and they never last long unless I freeze them for lunches later in the week. Sure you can use the recipe and link it back. Thanks
