Loving Bloom

Last week I was lucky enough to win a family pass to the Bloom Festival thanks to Kiwi Families.  I had never heard of the festival but a quick look at their website and I was really keen to go.  So on Saturday Hubby, the girls, a cousin and I went up to Matakana for the day and had such a wonderful time (the big boy had a sleepover to go to and preferred to hang out with his mates rather than come out with us).  It was the best day out we have had in ages.  We struggled to get the girls away from all the fairground rides.  Their favourites - the largest inflatable water slide in the world, and the crazy swing thing.  They also saw jousting and went to a play writing workshop and there were loads of other fun things, but we just did not have the time.  Hubby and I enjoyed watching some of the fantastic kiwi musicians who were playing there, especially our favourite, Greg Johnson.  We finished the day by watching the fantastic Wellington Circus.  We had to drag ourselves away at about 10pm.  I would definitely go again next year, but I would be keen to go for the whole weekend as there was so much we didn't get to see or do.

And she loved it and did it again...and again
